A spokesman for Fermanagh South Tyrone Traditional Unionist Voice Association has expressed concern, following revelations in the Sunday Times dated 6th February that a new IRA terrorist grouping has been formed in CountyTyrone

The report pointed to Intelligence obtained by both MI5 and the Garda's intelligence agency that indicates the as yet unnamed group is planning to announce its arrival with a bombing wave.  There are fears that up to 100 members of the Provisional IRA have pledged their allegiance to the new grouping, including prominent Republicans freed under the Good Friday Agreement.

TUV has warned for a long time that the so called 'reformed terrorist' haven’t gone away, and would return, when it suited, to 'doing what they do best', in the words of Francie Molloy.  This constituency has suffered much at the hands of terrorists, and must not be subjected to this again.  Policing structures have been dismantled, police numbers reduced, at the request of Sinn Fein / IRA, and security run down with the co-operation of unionist politicians who have foolishly believed IRA assurances and rewarded them with places in government.

Let unionists remember the words of MP Michelle Gildernew when she said that she wouldn’t hand over or give information about any Republican to the Police.  The IRA/Sinn Fein leopard does not change its spots.

TUV therefore now urge unionists to unite behind our candidate Alex Elliott.  We are still opposed to Sinn Fein / IRA in our government, the so called reformed terrorists are regrouping, and our constituency could yet again feel the onslaught of republican violence.
