TUV Party President William Ross addressed a meeting in Carrickfergus on Friday. In the course of his remarks Mr Ross said:

“I look forward to the Unionist electorate telling those who created the present mess in which our country finds itself that they are not the people to undo the damage. The task is for others who have not been mislead by Government blandishments and misplaced loyalty to men with feet of clay who ultimately betrayed their followers.

“I know that many of our people were quite shattered by the behavior of those leaders and have vowed never to trust any politician again. Every day brings something else to which they object. The hurt doesn’t diminish, their anger grows.

“I say to everyone who wants to remain a citizen of the United Kingdom in this Province – remember Elijah who felt the same way. I have been across this Province over the last year or two. You are not alone and there are many others who feel as you do. Men and women in their thousands are outraged by the amorality of it all and who want to make their opinion known. That opportunity comes for everyone of you in June. That is when your voice can be heard; that is the time when you can all show your true opinion. The spin doctors cannot deny what comes out of the ballot box”.
