Statement by the West Tyrone Branch of Traditional Unionist Voice:

“The latest spate of attacks on Orange Halls demonstrates something of the deep sectarian hatred which the Unionist minority within Co Tyrone has to endure.

“The fact that one hall could be attacked THREE times over the space of a single weekend also poses serious questions about the ability of the police to deter and capture those responsible.

“Orangemen in Tyrone were delighted to see one of their own, Edward Stevenson, elected to the position of Grand Master. One wonders if his declared intention to make the concerns of victims a key theme of his time as Grand Master was what so angered the thugs who carried out these sectarian attacks.”
