Coleraine Traditional Unionist Voice is to hold a public meeting on Thursday 26th February in the Town Hall at 8 pm. The meeting will be addressed by party leader Jim Allister who is seeking to defend his seat in the European Parliament in June’s upcoming election.

Speaking ahead of the visit local branch Chairman Robert Bolton said:

“Members of our branch are looking forward to the visit of Mr Allister to Coleraine and I would encourage all true Unionists to make an effort to come along to hear him. While other parties are reluctant to open up their doors to the general public this is not the case with TUV. We are intent on being evangelists for Ulster, bringing the Traditional Unionist message to every corner of our Province.

“The past week has demonstrated the influence which TUV has even in Stormont. It is not often that Sinn Fein/IRA come near the truth but when Barry McElduff stated that last Monday’s debate on the North-South Ministerial Council in the Assembly was “all about Jim Allister and Traditional Unionist Voice” and his party colleague said that the DUP was simply “positioning itself for the European elections” they were right on the money.

“The last two years have seen a huge betrayal by those who built their political careers on claiming to oppose the Republican agenda only for them to elevate them to cabinet office. However, bad as the situation has been it would have been a lot worse if TUV was not there to highlight their betrayal and thus apply the brakes to the concession train.

“We would extend a warm welcome to all Unionists who subscribe to traditional principles to come along on the 26th.”
