Commenting on tonight’s BBC report TUV East Belfast candidate David Vance said:

“There are numerous questions rising from tonight’s revelations. However, I am sure that the most obvious one which will occur to Mr Robinson’s constituents is, what do you have to do in order for a developer to sell you land for a fiver?

“The whole issue of the DUP’s links to developers is one of the aspects of the Iris Robinson scandal which has never been explained. £50,000 could be obtained no questions asked by Iris. Now we learn that an extremely valuable piece of ground was obtained by the Robinsons for a nominal sum. What did developers get out of this decidedly odd relationship?

“It really is amazing what a DUP MP can get for a fiver!”
