Statement by TUV Strangford candidate Terry Williams:

“Unionists will not be surprised by the news that under the watch of Sinn Fein/IRA Minister Catriona Ruane those who attend Irish language schools receive an average of £460 more per pupil.

“This is an outrageous state of affairs. Just a days ago the Minister announced plans to withdraw funding from prep schools even though they saved the tax payer money. Now we learn that pupils at Irish language schools are given special treatment! It is evident that the Minister is set on pursuing an ideological agenda which does nothing for the tax payer.

“If devolution post St Andrews means that Ministers are accountable what does the DUP propose to do in order to rectify this situation?”
