Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:
 
"As the one unionist party which has deliberately kept out of the marginal Westminster seats, we feel entitled to deplore the posturing and ego trips which is likely to see Fermanagh & South Tyrone and South Belfast continue in non unionist hands.
 
"In Fermanagh & South Tyrone the solution is eminently obvious: all unionist parties stand back and allow someone of the stature of Norman Baxter to win the seat. Is that really too much to ask of those who talk the talk of unionist unity. Now is their opportunity to walk the walk, rather than positioning themselves for the blame game."
