Millar for Mid Ulster

The TUV have announced that their candidate for Mid Ulster in the forthcoming General Election will be Walter Millar.
Commenting after he was unanimously selected by Mid Ulster TUV Mr Millar said:
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to stand as the Traditional Unionist candidate in the General Election. While others talk about seeking to topple the absentee MP while at the same time propping him up as Joint First Minister at Stormont TUV offers people the opportunity to vote for a party which opposes Sinn Fein/IRA 24/7.
“Ordinary Unionists in Mid Ulster have had enough of family dynasty building and we have certainly had enough of Sinn Fein/IRA in government. Mid Ulster is a consistency which has suffered more than most at the hands of IRA terrorists and there is widespread anger that their political wing has been gifted places in the government.
“The choice in Mid Ulster is clear – will people vote for Martin McGuinness or one of the parties which supports him in his position a Joint First Minister or will they vote for the only candidate committed to opposing the Sinn Fein/IRA agenda both at Westminster and at Stormont?”
Commenting on the Mid Ulster contest TUV Leader Jim Allister QC said:-
"The choice for Unionists in Mid Ulster is clear: either vote for those who sustain McGuinness and Sinn Fein in power at Stormont, or vote for the only party opposed to terrorists in government, TUV. So, only a vote for TUV is a truly anti-McGuinness vote.
"I know thousands of Unionists in Mid Ulster did me the honour of voting for me in the European election. I ask you to strengthen our hand by again voting TUV on this occasion."
