More Irish Language Waste

Statement by TUV spokesperson David Vance:
"The DUP likes to boast that it controls Stormont and that Sinn Fein solo runs are a thing of the past, claiming they fixed all of that at St Andrews! What then are they going to do to reverse Sinn Fein's misuse of public money to teach Irish within DRD?
"Under the DUP watch this week we've seen both a huge £20m handout to the Irish language and now Sinn Fein deliberately rubbing Unionist noses in their foisting of Irish on the Civil Service through the medium of DRD, and probably soon in the Department of Education, as well.
"Sammy Wilson is supposed to control the purse strings so what action does he propose to rein in this colossal waste of taxpayers' money?
"As for Sinn Fein, when one listens to their MLAs emasculating the English language perhaps they would do better to give priority to teaching some of their MLAs basic English grammar, before sending them out to do radio and TV broadcasts?
"Murphy's Irish lessons are nothing to do with meeting the basic needs of DRD, nor with meeting any obligations under the European Charter, but everything to do with Sinn Fein's embittered agenda to diminish and cleans Northern Ireland of its British identity."
