Channel 4 Adams Documentary Bordering On The Sacrilegious

Statement by TUV spokesperson David Vance:

“Courtesy of Channel 4, next Sunday the nation is due to be subjected to the hypocrisy of IRA/Sinn Fein leader Adams pontificating about forgiveness and the teachings of Christ.

“His affirmation that sometimes he was not ‘in tune’ with the ‘Jesus message’ is an understatement of monstrous proportions. If that is meant to be a euphemism for his, still denied, role in the murderous IRA, then it is as tasteless as it is inadequate.

“A man who is mired in controversy over cover-up of alleged paedophilia and who can’t even drop the charade that he was never in the IRA, should have no role in fronting a religious programme.

“It is evident that Adams feels no guilt or remorse about the IRA’s campaign. Indeed he justifies their murder and mayhem by declaring in the documentary that “non-violent protest would not have got justice in Ireland”.

“That Channel 4 should broadcast such material is bordering on the sacrilegious and I would again call on them to pull the programme and thus avoid causing insult and injury to thousands of innocent victims and, indeed, Christians throughout Northern Ireland and further a field.”
