“Probity in politics! A commodity in short supply of late.

“In June 2009, timed after the DUP’s setback in the European election and at the height of the double-jobbing and expenses row, Peter Robinson boasted to the News Letter that he was donating his MLA salary to the DUP.

“Now, the Electoral Commission, after enquiries, says there has been no donation greater than £5,000 by Mr Robinson to the DUP. Mr Robinson’s surplus salary as an MLA is in excess of £5,000 pa, so, how can this be?

“Was Mr Robinson’s boast incorrect?  Just something else the DUP Leader needs to explain!”
