Newton's Nonsense

Statement by TUV spokesperson David Vance:

“The statement in the name of DUP East Belfast MLA Robin Newton – the famously “quiet man” of the Northern Ireland Assembly – reveals both the panic and utter delusion which has gripped that party.

“You can only get away with claiming that there are a “several dozen” at a rally which in fact was attended by over 200 people if the press were not there. I would advise the DUP press office to wait until they see TV footage before making rash statements like that in the future.

“Mr Newton is right in one respect – TUV are going to specifically target the seat of Joint First Minister Robinson. This isn’t because we are opposed to Unionist unity but because we are opposed to Unionists who unite with terrorists in government.

“Last night’s rally has clearly panicked the DUP. They are right to be worried”.
