Statement by Traditional Unionist Voice

“In face of an orchestrated avalanche of predictable propaganda about massive job losses and worse if the Hillsborough talks collapse, it is time for a reality check. We are losing jobs fast under devolution! Yesterday it was Hughes Christensen and Nortel, with our precious Executive impotent to stop it.

“We hear interfering chimes from the supposed US ‘economic’ envoy – in fact a political placeman – but what did he do to stop these two US companies deciding to asset strip in Northern Ireland. That’s the test of his worth. It seems he’s more interested in political meddling and playing politics with jobs than actually delivering economic help when it’s needed. 

“The sky will not fall in if Sinn Fein don’t get their way at Hillsborough, so it’s time for these politically motivated spin merchants to back off and recover their dignity.”
