TUV spokesman David Vance has responded to the loss of up to 210 jobs in East Belfast at the Hughes Christensen factory by asking the MP for the area, Peter Robinson, to explain why this disaster  has been allowed to happen on his watch.

“The people of East Belfast will be shocked at this substantial  loss of local jobs.  Political representatives should be working 24/7 to help sustain jobs and bring about additional employment opportunities yet this is not happening and as unemployment in East Belfast soars the part-time MP spends his time talking to Sinn Fein. It’s time the people of East Belfast had a full time MP working for them”
