TUV Prepares for East Belfast Meeting

Speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s public meeting in Albertbridge Road Orange Hall TUV leader Jim Allister said:
“Friday night’s meeting will provide the people of East Belfast, after a week of headline failure of mandatory coalition, with an opportunity to hear the Traditional Unionist alternative. As well as focusing on the current debate on policing and justice the speakers will look at issues specific to the people in Joint First Minister Robinson’s constituency.
“This meeting will also demonstrate TUV’s intention to do battle in the hitherto DUP heartlands of both North Antrim and East Belfast. We exist to provide a voice for those who feel betrayed and disenfranchised by the DUP’s abandonment of core Unionist principles and decision to elevate terrorists to the very heart of government. It is therefore natural that we would seek to tackle the man who was the tactician behind the DUP’s decision to steal the disasterous policies of David Trimble.
“The forthcoming Westminster election will afford the people of East Belfast an opportunity to elect a new MP who will put principle before power.”
The rally will take place at 8 pm and will be addressed by Party President William Ross, Party Leader Jim Allister and David Vance.
