Senior Garda Joins PSNI

Statement by TUV vice-chair Keith Harbinson:
“Confirmation that a SENIOR Garda officer has been seconded to join the PSNI with full powers, including the right to carry a gun and wear a uniform, is the sort of creeping fusion which would be accelerated, at the behest of Sinn Fein’s meddling powers, under devolved policing and justice, as they work to advance their all-Ireland agenda.
“British citizens do not consent to be policed by the Garda, whether as surrogates in the PSNI, or otherwise.
“Superintendent Paul Moran, may be a fine Garda officer, but he should not be policing in a PSNI uniform.
“There are many young Protestants from Northern Ireland who are already finding it well nigh impossible to get a job in their police service just because of their religion. If this practice becomes widespread this will become even more difficult.”
