Speaking at a TUV meeting at Ahogill, David Vance warns that unionist voters deserve better from their public representatives than secret deals and surreptitious meetings.

“Why does the DUP seek to conduct secret negotiations with Sinn Fein? What is it that makes them believe that the electorate must be kept in the dark at all times as they spin in and out of meetings with Martin McGuinness and his associates? TUV believes in values such as honesty and transparency and it is shameful that the DUP treats the electorate with such contempt. We need to see a  real change in unionism and that should start with being open with the electorate. What is the DUP trying to hide?”

Mr Vance also pointed out the curiousity of the acting First Minister and part-time Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster welcoming the news that unemployment here has risen to 6.8% even as GB unemployment levels are falling!

“This is a further example of Arlene in Wonderland – removed from the real concerns of ordinary people in her political cocoon”.
