Allister condemns sectarian farming attack

Condemning the sectarian attack on the sheep of a Protestant farmer in East Tyrone, TUV Leader Jim Allister said,
“This is a most sinister attempt to intimidate and harass a local farmer on naked sectarian grounds. The farming community in general throughout the worst of the Troubles got on with business as best they could, but now, sadly, there is a malevolent intent on the part of some to stir tensions and put isolated Protestants under pressure.
“The nature of this incident is such that it could only have been inflicted by those with experience in handling livestock and, therefore, some evil group thought it right to try and injure and intimidate another farming family. I trust the PSNI will be robust in tracking down those who behaved so despicably and that those who know who were responsible will give them up.”
