Two years of terrorist inclusive government - now the verdict

Jim Allister MEP

Commenting on two years since the restoration of devolved government sitting MEP Jim Allister said the time had come for Northern Ireland to pass its verdict.

“On this day two years Martin McGuinness was elevated to the position of joint First Minister. Two other convicted terrorists were also gifted government ministries by the DUP. Remember, Sinn Fein/IRA could not be in government unless the DUP had agreed to put them there.

“All the promises of the IRA Army Council having to go, the return of the IRA’s ill-gotten gains, etc disappeared in a haze of laughing gas. Innocent victims across the Province were outraged at the sight of the personification of the IRA’s murderous campaign laughing alongside the DUP leader.

“As a result of the phenomenal performance of Traditional Unionist Voice in the Dromore by-election the Chuckle Brothers were consigned to history. However, the DUP’s alliance with Sinn Fein/IRA remains intact. Ruane is still wreaking havoc with our education system and Martin McGuinness is still Joint First Minister.

“Thankfully, in just a few short weeks the people of Northern Ireland will have their opportunity to pass their verdict on terrorist inclusive government. I take pride in the fact that I am the only candidate in this election who is implacably opposed to Sinn Fein/IRA in government. While campaigning around the country I have been encouraged by the response of ordinary Unionists. They can see through the DUP’s bluster and recognise that you cannot prop Sinn Fein/IRA up in government while simultaneously claiming to be opposed to Republicanism. A first preference vote for any candidate other than myself will be an endorsement of Belfast Agreement devolution and a green light for concessions to Sinn Fein/IRA.

“Role on election day when the people of Ulster will finally have an opportunity to pass their verdict!”
