Attack on Protestant homes

Sitting Traditional Unionist MEP Jim Allister has condemned an attack upon Protestant homes in Glenvale estate, Glarryford.
“Late on Sunday night or early on Monday morning two Protestant homes had their windows broken in the Glenvale estate, Glarryford. This has caused considerable distress to the people who live there, particularly in light of the fact that new windows were put in only a month ago.
“Glenvale is only a few miles away from the mainly nationalist Rasharkin and many people believe that the incident was motivated by blatant sectarianism. I would appeal for anyone with information to come forward to the police so that those responsible can be brought to justice.”
TUV councillor Sam Gaston represents the area and visited the homes yesterday. Commenting Mr Gaston said:
“Constituents are understandably asking why there was been so little media interest in these attacks, particularly in light of the fact that an attack on the home of Sinn Fein/IRA MLA Daithi McKay received wall to wall coverage.”
