Cllr Sharon McKillop has welcomed confirmation that essential repairs to the Mill Bridge at Liscolman are to be commenced in the autumn.

Commenting on the development Cllr McKillop stated:

“I welcome confirmation from Moyle Council that the Mill Bridge at Liscolman is to be repaired. The bridge had become dilapidated in recent years and posed a significant risk to local children who access to it from the local play park.

After discussions with local residents I urgently raised the matter with Council officials and I am now relieved that the Council agreed to carry out the necessary repairs to ensure that the bridge is fit for purpose.

I understand that the local community group within Liscolman are determined to enhance facilities in the village and I trust that the repairs to the bridge will mark the first step in the rejuvenation of Liscolman.

This is a positive story for the whole Liscolman community and I look forward to further developments that will act to enhance the village in the future.”
