Reacting to the last night’s brutal murder Banbridge TUV Councillor Stephen Herron said:

“When I first heard the news of last night’s murder I, like all decent people across Northern Ireland, felt a deep sense of outrage. The family of this officer is in my prayers.

“All eyes will now turn to Sinn Fein to see what their reaction will be. At the very least, they need to call upon constituents to go to the police with any information they may have. Secondly, there must be an acceptance that Special Forces are required to deal with this threat. Sinn Fein cannot be said to support the rule of law unless they do so”.
