Sinn Fein - IRA Thumb Noses at Poppy Bomb Victims

Statement by TUV Fermanagh and South Tyrone Assembly candidate Alex Elliott:
“A few weeks ago Sinn Fein planned to hold a rally commemorating convicted terrorist Bobby Sands on the site of the Enniskillen bomb. The event was only cancelled “due to restraints on the nature of the funding the Clinton Centre receives from Europe” according to a Republican press release. It is my belief that had it not been for victims getting a spotlight on the issue the rally could very well have gone ahead.
“Sinn Fein/IRA have, however, found another means to demonstrate their utter contempt for the victims of their murderous campaign. Republican posters have been erected at the Cenotaph in Enniskillen, the exact place where eleven innocent people were murdered by the IRA.
“This is rightly viewed by many in Fermanagh as Sinn Fein thumbing their nose at the victims of the Poppy Day bombing.
“I call for the immediate removal of these posters and a public apology from Sinn Fein/IRA.
“This whole incident has demonstrated Sinn Fein’s unfitness for government and particularly underscores the obscenity of having Martin McGuinness overseeing victims’ issues as co-First Minister.”
