Statement by TUV Upper Bann Assembly candidate David Vance:

"Today's attack on PSNI officers in Craigavon is the latest in a series of incidents in the Upper Bann area in recent weeks. It would appear that policemen could easily have been killed or seriously injured.

"This should act as a stark reminder that the threat possed by Republican terrorism hasn't gone away. The attempts of Sinn Fein/IRA to dilute the capacity of our security forces to combat the men of violence need to be steadfastly resisted."
